Drishti aims to promote photography as a fine art profession. Our courses educate and prepare students to be comfortable and excel with the latest photography techniques and practices. The faculty at Drishti are professionals working at a high level in the commercial photography domain and are up to date with the ever evolving trends in their fields. This enables students to understand the expectations of the industry and be exposed to actual commercial photography shoots.
The classes at Drishti are conducted in small groups for a more personalized learning experience. This allows students to get more attention, hence helping them identify their strengths and move towards their goal better.
Courses at Drishti are based on a ‘learn and practice’ model where students are required to be dedicated to completing a variety of assignments on a regular basis. This establishes the need for a personal commitment in them to make it as a professional photographer.
The school owns 35 mm, 120 mm, Digital format cameras & accessories, professional lighting systems, digital workstations, well equipped studio spaces, in-house large format printing system, a well equipped library and even facilities for black and white film photography and processing.
Drishti’s alumni are spread across the world and ever ready to share their experiences with the students. Drishti plans to offer mentoring and counselling programs by its alumni in the near future as well.
The first and oldest program from Drishti is the 6 month long Professional Photography Course, which is particularly offered to aspiring professional photographers. This along with other courses and workshops offered by Drishti caters to a wide variety of photography learning requirements.
Students of Drishti School of Photography get the opportunity to work in many photographic fields – fashion photography, product and advertising photography, landscape and travel photography, and even cinematography. The programs offered at Drishti provide all the necessary skills, knowledge and most importantly the attitude to jumpstart a career in professional photography as soon as the course is complete, often times even before.
